- Yes. Sanna is explicitly designed as a high-quality, low-risk educational application, with transparency, data minimization, human oversight, and safety at its core, in line with the principles of the EU AI Act. It is intended to support teachers in their professional work and deliberately avoids features that would increase regulatory risk. Sanna does not perform profiling or automated decision-making, nor does it determine opportunities, outcomes, or assessments for students. It supports teachers but does not interact directly with students, helping it remain within the EU’s limited-risk framework for educational AI applications. To ensure meaningful human oversight, Sanna only provides draft content and suggestions. Teachers are always required to review, evaluate, and adapt the output before using it in practice. The final decisions and professional judgment remain entirely with the teacher.
- No. Sanna is designed to support teachers, not replace them. It does not make decisions, assess students, or replace professional judgment. Teachers remain responsible for reviewing, adapting, and using any generated content. All AI-generated content is editable and clearly identifiable as AI-generated. Teachers decide whether to use the output and how it should be adapted. Human oversight is built into every step of the process.
- Yes. Data privacy and security are fundamental principles of Sanna. Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable privacy regulations, and data is processed securely to protect schools, teachers, and students.
